For my birthday this year, my dad took me on a day trip to Devil's Lake where we went rock climbing! It was a beautiful day; however, there was a threat of rain, but we were optomistic that everything would work out and it did! IBefore this, I had only ever climbed on indoor rock walls, so this was quite the adventure and let me tell you, it was so much fun! I fell a few times, but being securly tied into the safety ropes, no harm done. Its truly amazing the difference in climbing real rock compared to a rock wall! My heart was racing far more, and its a lot taller and scarier when you look down!
The hike up to our climbing spot was rather steep and with all our equiptment on our backs a little exhausting in itself. But once we reached the top, the view was absolutley amazing!
